A pair of dark brown tortoiseshell sunglasses by famed Italian eyewear maker; Persol. This model, the 803, are a very classic and rare "wayfarer" style frame, but with the more distinctive more boxy top of frame and lower nose rest. The colour of the frame is a jet black, which contrasts very well against the Persol 'Arrow' logo, on the temples, in a polished silver metal. The arms feature the patented 'Meflecto' design that allows for some movement along the arms once on the head. The frames have the original dark green mineral glass lenses fitted and are scratch free and include the Persol etched logo onto the corner of the lens. The glasses are presented in 'New Old Stock' condition. They are fully signed "Ratti" on the arm, meaning that these were made before the acquisition of Persol by Luxotica.  These iconic frames have been worn by some of the most stylish people in the world.  This is an original pair, and not a re-issue.  They are presented in a Persol clamshell case.  Made in Italy, circa  1980's.
